25/02/2010 Zacco in the top tiers of MIP survey for 2010
Once again Zacco is elected in the top tiers in Managing Intellectual Property’s (MIP) early IP survey. MIP’s survey of the world’s IP markets provides a unique perspective on IP practice, based on hundreds of interviews with clients and practitioners worldwide.
This is the 14th survey and as in the past five years, the lists are presented in the form of tiers.
Zacco has once again been ranked in tier 1 for patent as well as for trademark prosecution in Denmark, Norway and Sweden. In Benelux Zacco has been ranked in tier 1 for trademark prosecution.
In the category for contentious work Zacco has been ranked in tier 2 for both patent and trademark/copyright in Denmark and Sweden. In Norway, Zacco has been ranked in tier 3 for trademark/copyright. This is acceptable, since here we are grouped together with the top law firms specialised in IPR litigation.
The tiers reflect the perception of the leading firms in each market, with the top tiers listing those firms regarded as having the strongest practices in each category.
Prosecution work includes drafting, filing and prosecuting national and European patents and trademarks for national and overseas clients and associated work .e.g. oppositions and appeals. Contentious work includes all other legal work, such as litigation and licensing. Firms that handle both prosecution and contentious work are eligible to appear in both tables.
- "I am very proud of the results, says Hans-Bertil Håkansson, Zacco CEO. Being top ranked in MIPs surveys in almost all countries where we have operations is a true quality sign. As high expertise knowledge and quality in everything we do is of greatest importance to us, this is of course great".
