Kristoffer has worked as a consultant in intellectual property law since 2018. He is a certified Danish patent agent (CDPA) and has several years of experience in litigation support, before both the Danish Maritime Courts and the EPO.
After completing his master’s degree in biomedical engineering in 2014, Kristoffer worked as an R&D engineer in the private sector, developing minimally invasive devices for cardiovascular repair and replacement.
An early interest in medical and sports science led Kristoffer into associated academic fields. Completing his bachelors in sports science, with a focus on anatomy, physiology and biomechanics, led him to a Masters in Biomedical Engineering. On completion, he moved into R&D where he engineered medical implants and minimally invasive devices for cardiovascular repair and replacement.
He has retained this interest throughout his career, with his experience providing Kristoffer with a unique skillset and insight into client needs in the field of IP consulting, working with clients in the fields of both biomechanics and ergonomics, medical devices and sports equipment. He advises on both the practical and judicial aspects of inventions and patents, specialising in patent drafting, patent prosecution, oppositions, IP strategy consulting, freedom to operate, and litigation support.
Kristoffer has been consecutively recognised by Managing IP as a Rising Star since 2023. He has a position as external lecturer at the CEIPI IP Business Academy at the University of Strasbourg, teaching IP matters within the field of robotics, and remains an active member of The Association of Danish Intellectual Property Advisors, ADIPA.
Kristoffer is also a voluntary board member at Aarhus 1900, a large sports club in Aarhus, Denmark, with more than 3.700 active members.
