Julie has worked within the field of patents since 2016, when she joined Zacco. Her work includes drafting and prosecution of patent applications as well as oppositions and appeals before both the European patent office and the Danish Patent and Trademark office. She became a European Patent Attorney in 2021.
Julie’s sharp mind and seemingly effortless ability to get to the root of issues has already been recognised by both clients and colleagues alike. Her dedication to the protection and development of IP is particularly valued by those she advises and her client’s know they will get the same high quality service whether they are a small inventor exploring their first idea or a large multinational with a global portfolio.
Julie graduated from Aarhus University in 2012 with a Master of Science in Physics and Astronomy. In 2016, she gained her Ph.D. in Astrophysics from the University of Copenhagen. Her studies specialised in optical and submillimetre spectroscopy, as well as signal processing. During her studies, she also gained hands-on experience in the field, working as a student astronomer at a telescope in the Canary Islands for a year.
Julie’s main technical fields of expertise include electronics, software, photonics and medical devices. Her clients include start-ups and SMEs as well as multinational clients with large portfolios.
