The Zacco Innovation Award 2026 is awarded to DESMI A/S

DESMI A/S was awarded this year’s Zacco Innovation Award at a ceremony on Wednesday 29^th April 2026.

Over the last 15 years, the Zacco Innovation Award has been given out to clients who have maintained a special focus on innovation, curiosity and product protection. DESMI received the award based on an overall assessment of the company’s product design and development, and the speed with which the innovation process moves. Zacco also acknowledged the flexibility of their solutions, the high level of skill and expertise to be found amongst their colleagues and their ongoing dedication to creativity.

DESMI was founded in 1834 in Aalborg, providing pump solutions which have since expanded to Marine, Aquaculture, Offshore, Industry, Defence and Utility. Headquartered in Denmark, DESMI exports its products globally to over 100 countries, regularly expanding into new markets and using patents to support and reinforce their position. Their success is based on many years of innovation, exploring new ideas, markets and technical expertise, to get to where they are today. Congratulations DESMI!

The award ceremony took place at DESMI’s Head Office in Nørresundby, with Zacco’s Camilla Rendal Nielsen, Thomas Sundien, Keld Thyregod and Asbjørn Skjernaa Faltum attending to hand over the award.

About the Innovation Award:

The Innovation Award is awarded to a company or person who has, to a remarkable extent, developed new innovative products and effectively patented them for the benefit of Danish society. The Innovation Prize consists of a sculpture or a work of art by a local Danish artist, which is presented to the prize winner at an award ceremony.
