Maryna Blurock has worked in the field of Intellectual Property since 2007. She joined Zacco as a Patent Attorney on December 1, 2016.
She primarily works with drafting and prosecuting of patent applications, and has experience in executing novelty searches, establishing freedom-to-operate and validity opinions.
Maryna has been working for the past two years in a small patent agency in Copenhagen, and prior to that she worked for five years as an in-house patent counsel for BioInvent a company developing antibody based drugs against inflammation and cancer in Lund Sweden. Finally she also has IP experience from working as a patent examiner with the Patent Office in Ukraine for one and a half year.
Her field of expertise is immunology, molecular biology, cell signalling, cancer and inflammatory markers, microbiology, DNA/RNA recombination technology. Previously she was responsible for drafting and prosecution of cases relating to medical devices.
Maryna holds a PhD in Cell Pathology from Medical Faculty, Lund University; during her PhD studies she investigated signalling pathways connecting chronic inflammation and cancer in intestine. Maryna also has a Master Degree in Microbiology.
In 2018 she became a European Patent Attorney and a member of the Institute of Professional Representatives before the European Patent Office (EPI)
