Emelie Apéll

Emelie has worked with intellectual property law since 2018, specializing in trademark and design law. She has experience in managing international IP portfolios, advising on IP strategy and handling trademark disputes across multiple jurisdictions. Her experience covers trademark prosecution, opposition and cancellation proceedings, infringement and enforcement matters, as well as IP-related commercial agreements.

Emelie joined Zacco in 2026, where she advises Swedish and international clients on the strategic protection, management and enforcement of their intellectual property rights. Her work involves developing and implementing IP strategies, coordinating cross-border matters and providing legal advice tailored to clients’ commercial objectives.

Emelie holds a Master of Laws degree (LL.M.) from the University of Gothenburg. Before joining Zacco, she worked at other IP law firms, advising clients across a range of industries.

Since 2024, Emelie has been consecutively named a Rising Star by Managing IP.
