IP law undergoes changes

Haakon VII's gt 2, Oslo

To keep you updated on the most recent IP developments, Zacco would like to invite you to a breakfast seminar where we will review last year's decisions in trademark, design and patent law, amongst others. We will take a closer look at the Unitary Patent system which will enter into force on 1 January 2014 in Europe. What does the Unitary Patent system mean for patent applicants and what new risks and opportunities does it entail?

We will also meet Fredy Bade, attorney at Statoil ASA, who will talk about how Statoil protect their know-how and trade secrets.

Agenda:

• Current practices in intellectual property and adjacent areas. An annual update on Norwegian and European practice, with particular focus on patent and trademark law.
By Kristin Kjærheim Astrup, Attorney at Zacco, Thomas Rukin, Attorney at Zacco and Claus Christian Schmidt, European Patent Attorney at Zacco

• The new Unitary Patent System in Europe.
