Opportunities and threats in the changing IP-landscape in the US
Friday, November 21, Zacco Oslo, Haakon VIIs Gate 2, 0125 Oslo
Zacco invites you to an interesting seminar about the recent developments in the IP-landscape in the US with one of the most experienced attorneys in U.S. patent litigation, Eric H. Weisblatt from Wiley Rein, as well as Sarah Rodriquez and Tom Ekeberg from Zacco.
Recent developments in the U.S., including the Alice case, are having an impact on questions of patent eligibility particularly in the fields of software and biotechnology. The consequences range from how and what you can protect with patents if you are operating in these fields of technology, to the impact it is having on what Non Practicing Entities (the so called “patent trolls”) are able to enforce against you. And if you find yourself involved in patent litigation in the U.S., chances are that questions of privilege for communication will be handled very differently than here in Norway.
You will go home from our breakfast seminar knowing a lot more about all these questions, and you will be better prepared for your planned activities in the U.S.
