Niclas is an experienced lawyer specialized in legal, strategic and business aspects of intellectual property, marketing law and data privacy law (GDPR). He counsels and assists our clients in all matters relating to intellectual property, focusing on both non-contentions and contentious work, including innovation and product/brand development processes, various legal, strategic and contractual issues connected hereto.
Niclas represents our clients in litigation and in cross-border dispute resolution. His background includes litigation experience in Sweden, Europe and the United States from civil court proceedings (infringement), administrative proceedings (PRV, EUIPO, USPTO and TTAB) and arbitration (WIPO, Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce (SCC)). In addition, Niclas regularly assists our clients in IP related transactional work, including technology transfer, licensing, R&D, software and related areas of contract and general business law. Further, Niclas counsels and assists our clients with all aspects of data privacy law (GDPR) both in a national and international perspective. Niclas is a dual Master of Laws graduate and has obtained one (1) Master of Laws degree from Lund University (LL.M. 2011), and a second (2) Master of Laws degree from American University College of Law (LL.M. 2013), where he specialized in international intellectual property, business, competition,marketing and data privacy law.
Niclas joined Zacco in January 2017. Before joining Zacco he was an IP Attorney at the IP law firm Groth & Co KB (2015-2017), and a foreign IP law Associate at the law firm Birch Stewart Kolasch & Birch LLP in Washington D.C. (USA) (2010-2015). He is a professional representative before the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and a member of various national and international associations active within the field of intellectual property.
