IAM Magazine December 2012: A tale of untapped potential

In the US patents are being sold in the billions of dollars and courts issue damages awards in the hundreds of millions. Europe does not deal in such number as present, but owns a significant number of patents in the US with a hidden value to the patent market.

Anders Arvidsson, Director Value Extraction Services at Zacco, has written the article “A tale of untapped potential” explaining  –  via using the PESTL model which encompasses political, economic, social, technological and legal factors -  all relevant macro economical factors in the patent market. The article also contains a concrete action plan, things for European companies thinking about increasing their focus on monetization to bear in mind.

The article was published in Intellectual Asset Management, IAM, November/December issue, 2012.
