WTR 1000 ranks ten Zacco colleagues for 2022

We have again been ranked among the top recommended IP firms in the 2022 edition of WTR1000.

Zacco proudly announces that we have again been ranked among the top recommended IP firms in the 2022 edition of World Trademark Review 1000 – The World’s Leading Trademark Professionals.

Focusing exclusively on international trademark practice, the WTR 100 lists the most sought after expertise across the globe and the practitioners best placed to assist.

Individual recommendations

We are pleased to acknowledge that ten of our colleagues have this year been announced as recommended individuals. Many colleagues have been ranked previously acknowledging their ongoing professional development and reputations for consistent quality in both strategy and delivery.

For Denmark, our recommended colleagues are Thomas Mølsgaard, Lone Prehn, Knud Wallberg and Fabio Pezzolato, who joins the list for his second year, all of whom work from our Head Office in Copenhagen, as well as Heidi Rehné, who operates from Aarhus.

Thomas’ ability to traverse the contentious / non-contentious divide has been recognised, Lone has been described as ‘reliable, thorough, brilliant and a joy to work with’ and Knud is referred to as ‘super-knowledgeable and always able to find the perfect solution’. Fabio is recognised for his commitment and ‘willingness to go the extra mile’ and Heidi has often been recognised by clients for her ability to offer pragmatism, as well as her ‘proactive’ and ‘versatile’ approach.

In Sweden, you will find that Claes Agnvall (Stockholm) and Martin Tranälv (Gothenburg) have kept their individual recommendations, maintaining their reputations for excellence across a range of legal and trademark related strategy and implementation work with trademarks. Claes is described as ‘First Class’, drawing from over 30 years of experience to secure his client rights, and recognising his ability and persuasive performance in opposition proceedings. Martin, meanwhile, is acknowledged for his expansive range of skills across multiple sectors and proceedings but particular mention is given to his ability to secure lucrative licensing deals for clients.’

In Norway, we once again see Frode André Moen (Oslo), who is joined by Tone Tangevald-Jensen and Per Vegard Bergheim, both of whom are making their second appearance as recommended individuals.

Frode is recognised for how easy he is to work with and his ability to break down complex issues for his clients, offering ‘quick and clear advice’ on a range of issues. Tone is acknowledged for her two decades of expertise, acting on behalf of a range of famous brands and high-profile clients and developing robust filing programmes to cover their international portfolios. Per is similarly recognised for his extensive international experience and impressive ability to traverse both sides of the contentious/non-contentious divide.

Firm rankings

Zacco has received a Silver ranking in the “Prosecution and Strategy” category for both Sweden and Norway alongside a Silver firm ranking in Denmark.

Recognition across the countries stemmed primarily from our expansive expertise and commitment to quality, but also acknowledged our innovative approach and ability to adapt to changing needs in the marketplace. This includes our move into the fields of cyber security, tech law and data protection, alongside our considerable offering within the trademark / legal space.

Such recognition also acknowledges our ability to operate as ‘One Zacco’ across the globe. This means that when a client works with one of our offices, they have access to our vast international network of expertise, specialists and knowledge. For us, this means that what sets us apart to our client’s benefit in one country will, more often than not, benefit all clients throughout the Zacco group as a whole.
