Bent is an experienced patent attorney and advises clients mainly within software, electronics, audio, ultrasound, optics and optoelectronics, and also within medical devices, logistics, and cleantech. His technical background from university is in analogue and digital signal processing with a bachelor thesis in optoelectronics and a master thesis in mathematical modelling.
Bent is diligent in drafting, filing and pre- and post-grant prosecution. He focuses on delivering useful decision support relative to infringement, freedom-to-operate studies, IP due diligence and IP portfolio management. He appreciates to use his profound experience from analysing hundreds of inventions to improve innovation processes.
Bent also works as a consultant within IP Management and advises clients on how to improve the value of their IP portfolio by a proven method. He also advises on preparation and implementation of IPR strategy, tactics, and operational activities. In 2007, Bent graduated from the University of Strasbourg and obtained his LL.M. degree in IP law and management. Additionally, he is a frequent lecturer. Bent has contributed to the book IP Manager by Prof. Wurzer and published articles on issues related to IP management.Bent is a founding member of International Institute of IP management, I3PM, and a member of Patentagent-foreningen (The Association of Danish Patent Agents), AIPPI, and FICPI.
