About Claes Agnvall
Claes has more than 25 years of experience in advising on legal matters within intellectual property, including filing and prosecution of design and trademark applications. He has a special experience in handling cases relating to community trademark law, including oppositions and cancellations, as well as cases relating to community design law. Claes has worked at Zacco as a lawyer since 2001. 1990 – 1991 he worked as a trademark examiner at the Swedish Patent Office.
Claes graduated 1990 with a degree of Master of Laws from Stockholm University and is also a Swedish Authorized IP Attorney. He was head of the Trademarks Department at Nobel Industries from 1991-1994. In 1994 he joined AB Stockholms Patentbyrå Zacco Bruhn as a Trademark Consultant (now Zacco Sweden). He worked as an examiner at the Examination division, OHIM, and as examiner/head of unit at the opposition division from 1996-2001.
Claes is engaged as lecturer within the area of EU Trademark Law and is active in the committee work of the International Trademark Association (INTA). He is also a recommended individual in the World Trademark Review 1000 for 2021 by the World Trademark Review magazine. In addition, Claes has been recommended individually for Intellectual Property Law by The Legal 500 EMEA for 2018 and 2019.
