Fabian joined Zacco in 2016. He is a qualified German, French and European Patent Attorney as well as a European Trademark and Design Attorney. His practice focuses on the preparation and prosecution of patent applications in the fields of mechanical engineering and electronics, in particular in the field of medical devices. In addition to German, French, European and international patent prosecution and litigation, Fabian assists clients in developing IP strategies and managing their patent portfolios.
Fabian graduated in 2001 with a Master’s Degree in Physics from Imperial College, London. He prepared his Master’s Thesis during a one year stay at the French engineer school ESPCI ParisTech. He went on to a Master’s Degree in European Studies at KU Leuven, Belgium.
Between 2002 and 2005 Fabian trained as a patent attorney candidate at different German IP firms. Afterwards he received his training at the German Patent and Trademark Office and at the Federal Patent Court in Munich. Between 2006 and 2015 Fabian gained experience as a patent attorney in different French IP firms.
He passed the German patent bar exam in November 2005, the European Qualifying Exam in 2008, and the French patent bar exam in 2010.
