Joining Zacco in 2013, Malin’s career has developed from her educational background in Industrial Engineering and Management with a Masters of Science degree from Lund University. Working as a patent attorney within the mechanical field, Malin is a team manager for the mechanics/mechatronics team, and became a Senior Partner in 2021. Her engineering and patent expertise has been invaluable, allowing Malin to quickly identify and understand her client’s inventions as well as the real-world practical value of her client’s patents.
Alongside working at Zacco, her time spent in the Swedish Patent Office and as a Patent Information Specialist for an IP Consultancy has contributed to a clear understanding of best practice, as well as how to encourage an application’s likelihood of success. Malin is an expert in IP Strategy Development and Implementation, patent drafting and prosecution as well as novelty, FTO and validity searches and her extensive experience in mechatronics, manufacturing and process technology and mechanical engineering has seen her become a trusted advisor across the energy, Medtech, automotive, aerospace and defence sectors.
Malin is a member of the Association of IP Professionals in Swedish Industry (SIPF) and she has been ranked as Rising Star by Managing IP as part of the MIP World IP Survey 2018. She is listed as a recommended individual in the IAM
