Mogens has more than 30 years of experience in general business law and especially in intellectual property law and contract law. He is specialized in conflict resolution (litigation and mediation), as well as drafting and negotiating various international contracts.
Mogens holds an LL.M. from both Aarhus University (1983) and University of San Diego, USA (1987). He became entitled to appear before the Danish Supreme Court in 1993. He was temporarily a judge in the Danish Western High Court in 1998/99. Mogens joined Zacco in 2004.
Mogens is appointed by International Trademark Association (INTA) to its Panel of Trademark Mediators. He has mediated a large number of conflicts as a mediator appointed by the Danish courts and by the Danish Mediation Institute.
Besides being attorney-at-law, Mogens was an adjunct professor at Aarhus University in international business transactions for a decade. He has lectured intellectual property law in courses offered by the Danish Patent and Trademark Office. Since 2003, on a regular basis, he has trained mediators in courses offered by The Association of Danish Law Firms (Danske Advokater).
Mogens has contributed to various books: “European Union Law after Maastricht”, “Negotiations, the Art of Reaching Agreement” and “Partsadvokatens rolle – mediation som mulighed”. He is the author of the Danish contributions to “Global Patent Litigation: How and Where to Win” and INTA’s “Trademark Cancellations: International Practice and Procedures”.
Mogens is “highly recommended” in Legal 500, 2016 for Intellectual Property in Denmark.
