About Olav Jaeger
Olav’s patent practice extends over a range of technologies in the technical fields of electronics and physics, including memory devices, image processing, sensor and measurement technology, medical devices, telecommunication and mechanics.
Olav is experienced not only in the drafting and prosecution of patent applications, but has also represented his clients in numerous opposition and appeal cases before the national Courts and the EPO. Furthermore, Olav has been negotiating licensing agreements and assisted his clients in litigation matters. Olav has special knowledge also on Chinese and US law.
Olav has been a partner with the well reputed German patent attorney firm of Epping Herman Fischer at which firm he represented various large international and national co-operations.
For several years, Olav has been a Patent Director at Tetra Pak in Lund and has worked with advising the business management in compliance and general legal matters, implementing global IPR strategies to reflect new business environments, and also been advising the top management on license, litigation and IP related strategic matters.
Olav started his career as a patent attorney with Epping Herman Fischer in 2003. Before this, Olav worked at Rohde & Schwarz GmbH and at the Technical University of Munich with research and teaching physics. Olav holds a M.Sc. in Physics from the Technical University of Munich and an LL.M. from the University of Hagen. Olav speaks German and English fluently.
