Magnus joined Zacco in 2011, but even before joining Zacco Magnus worked with IP related issues. Before joining Zacco Magnus worked for about four and a half years as a technical consultant at, and employee of, General Motors and Saab Powertrain AB. During these years Magnus held various positions and worked with various aspects of powertrain advanced engineering (powertrain R&D). This included e.g. work with project management, collaboration with universities, technology portfolio management and work with various IP related issues. Magnus was also responsible for managing national and international external financing programmes in order to fund internal development projects and PhD programmes at universities.
Additionally Magnus represented the automotive industry before national (SIS) and international (CEN) standardization organizations. When Magnus joined Zacco he held the position of Technology Leader for the technology area Fuels. Magnus has also experience from the defence research industry from working at FOI, Swedish Defence Research Agency.
Magnus holds a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology, but has also studied Law and Economics at the Business School of Gothenburg. Magnus has also attended additional courses at Chalmers Professional Education Academy within e.g. Combustion Technology and IP Strategies.
Today Magnus works at Zacco as a Patent Attorney, mainly helping clients with drafting, prosecutions, searches, technology scanning and IP consultancy in general. Magnus is also regionally responsible for one of Zaccos largest clients where Magnus is a member of the Patent Council. Magnus primarily works within the fields of automotive, mechanics and electronics.
