Zacco today announced the appointment of Mats Boström as its CEO as a response to changing demands in the IP industry. From August, Boström will be heading Zacco’s 500 employees in five countries and 700 MDKK in turnover.
Boström has a proven track record for driving business growth and brings more than 10 years of experience in director-level positions across technology and consulting to his new position. Most recently, Boström was President of Technology Division & Network Business in the Swedish technology consultancy firm ÅF, heading more than 2000 employees. Commenting on his new appointment, Boström explained:
"The IP consultancy business is in a state of change, which presents opportunities as well as threats. I look forward to work with Zacco in this process and hope to be able to contribute with my experiences from other consultancy businesses."
Mats Boström, 47 years old, holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Lund Institute of Technology. On top of this he has completed two years of business administration and economics studies at Lund University.
Executive Chairman of the Board at Zacco, Stefan Ölander, states:
"I truly believe that we have found a perfect match. Mats combine a strong drive with business understanding within professional services, with a solid academic background. He does not only have interest, but also some experience from working with IP."
