Stephanie Thomas

Stephanie joined Zacco in 2022 and is based in Worcestershire, UK, working at our Birmingham UK office. She is a European Patent Attorney, also training to become a Chartered Patent Attorney in the UK, with only one Finals level exam to go before qualification. Her work has moved from predominantly UK-based prosecution to European work and back again throughout her career and since joining Zacco she has been gaining experience with Norwegian filings too. She has worked in a range of technical fields from aircraft, medical devices and digital communication to farming technologies, measuring tools for construction and even novel zippers. Her most memorable invention to date has involved special effects technology for use in movies.

At Zacco, Stephanie drafts and prosecutes patent applications for UK-based inventors as well as inventors in Norway and beyond, in inventions ranging from mechanical to software. Stephanie holds a Masters in Physics from the University of Birmingham and applies skills learned there to grasp how an inventor’s idea works as well as what makes the idea special.
