Zacco welcomes Christian L. Bardenfleth back to Zacco as our new Senior Partner

Zacco is delighted to welcome Christian L. Bardenfleth back to the firm after 13 years.

Christian joined what was then Hoffman-Bang & Boutard, Lehmann & Ree A/S in 1995. He was part of the original team that recognised the potential value in developing a cross-border practice, combining expertise and resources to create a firm that was much stronger than the sum of its parts. He helped to convince Stockholm’s Patentbyrå in Sweden and Bryns Patenkontor in Norway to join forces and merge with the firm in Denmark to become the International Zacco Group that you recognise today. He was also part of the team that modernised our branding at the time, including the Zacco logo that we still use.

Returning after a 13-year absence, Christian admits that he always had fond memories of his time with Zacco and continued to follow our news and expansion throughout his career. When the opportunity arose to return, he decided that now was the time to support our ongoing growth journey, partly as a means to give something back for the support that he received in the early years of his own career.

A keen negotiator, litigator and IP strategist, Christian is also a renowned partnership manager and growth lead. He has always recognised the benefits of continuous communication, client and peer relationship building, and supporting the development of brand recognition and loyalty, all as fundamental parts of any firm’s success. His time outside of Zacco has been spent working with leading law firms, strengthening his IP legal and litigation expertise, and building a comprehensive network of global clients, colleagues and peers.

Christian is pleased to recognise a few friendly faces from his earlier tenure with Zacco and is looking forward to joining a new group of skilled and talented colleagues. He is very eager to reconnect both with good clients and old friends, many of whom he knows will be excited by the prospect of working with Zacco again, and who will certainly recognise the advantage of Zacco’s European, UK, Indian and online presence.

Outside of private practice, Christian is the Chairman of the Danish Multiple Sclerosis Society, one of Denmark’s largest patient societies with over 100,000 members. By their own calculation, he is single handedly responsible for raising over 100 million Danish Kroner over his 20 years as Chairman. He supports a number of worthy causes, always intending to meet and talk to every person as they are, providing pro bono advice and guidance and making use of his extensive network to generate awareness.
