Legal 500 2026 ranks Zacco amongst Europe’s leading IP and law firms
26 March 2026
Following months of research, the Legal 500 rankings for EMEA 2026 have now been released, recognising Zacco Denmark, Norway and Sweden amongst the leading IP and Law firms in Europe. Coming up to its 40th year, the Legal 500 is considered by many to be one of the most comprehensive guides to law firm in the world.
Sweden remains firmly in Tier 3 and Denmark has moved up to Tier 4, while Norway has joined the list for the first time ever straight into Tier 4. While much of the research is focused on technical expertise, it also incorporates peer review and market feedback, making its final decision on a combination of skill, market knowledge and reputation. The European market includes some incredibly capable law firms, and it is a pleasure to be independently ranked and recognised so highly across multiple countries. Such rankings are only possible thanks to key wins and successful outcomes, between parties and before leading national and international courts, and some great feedback from our clients, other firms and legal experts.
Seven Zacco colleagues have also been singled out this year for their expertise and insight. In Sweden, leaders Hampus Adlerton and Kristian Elftorp are recognised, alongside Annalena Nordin. Denmark sees Thomas Mølsgaard recognised again, joined this year in Norway by newcomers Thomas Rukin, Stein Aamot and Claus Chr. Schmidt.
The Legal 500 recognises firms who stand out in the market, pushing the boundaries of innovation and argumentation. This is something that Zacco is already known for in the market, so it is always appreciated to see it recognised by independent research. From start-ups to multinationals, we help organisations of all sizes through the innovation process assisting with the protection, monetisation and enforcement of their IP rights and other IP adjacent assets.
Thank you, as always, to our clients, to our colleagues and to our peers for the feedback and insight that makes such rankings possible. Congratulations to the colleagues listed, and to Norway as new joiners on the list, but congratulations also go to our many colleagues across the globe who contribute to our world class reputation.
If you would like to discuss your IP portfolio with one of our colleagues, or explore how we can support the protection, monetisation or enforcement of your own innovations or brand identity, then reach out to Thomas in Denmark or Norway, or Hampus in Sweden.
