Thomas joined Zacco as an Attorney at Law in 2012. He works primarily with intellectual property rights including trademarks, copyright, design, and patents; dispute resolution, litigation and enforcement; contract law, including ICT law, unfair competition and marketing law. Thomas works closely with the Customs in Norway in particular with respect to trademark infringements and counterfeit. He has broad experience with strategic IPR counselling relating to trademarks, designs, domain names, copy right and the marketing law (unfair competition).
Thomas received his law degree (Cand. Jur.) from the University of Oslo in 1999. Thomas also holds a Bachelor of International Business (BIB) from Oslo University College in 1991. He was admitted to the Norwegian Bar Association in 2000 and received his law practicing certificate in 2002. Thomas has practiced as an attorney over several years in the law firm Storeng, Beck & Due Lund, Grette law firm and the IP consultancy company Bryn Aarflot AS.
Thomas is a member of the Norwegian Bar Association, Norsk Forening for Industriell Rettsbeskyttelse (NIR).
He has been recommended individually for Intellectual Property Law by The Legal 500 EMEA. He is also featured as a Recommended Individual in the WTR 1000 by the World Trademark Review.
