Stuart joined Zacco in 2024 from a London-based IP firm where he was a partner. He is a Chartered Patent Attorney and a European Patent Attorney. Since joining the profession in 2013, Stuart has advised startups, SMEs, and multinational corporations in a wide range of technology sectors including oil and gas, automotive, aerospace, 2D and 3D printing, medical devices, and audio signal processing. At Zacco, Stuart’s main work involves drafting and prosecuting patent applications for inventions implemented in software. He also advises clients on international patent protection, patent and filing strategies, and portfolio development and management. Stuart always seeks to learn about his clients’ businesses so that he can provide tailored and comprehensive advice, always with an eye on how IP can add value to a business and help it achieve its commercial goals.
An Australian native, Stuart holds a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Arts from Monash University, Melbourne, which he attained before moving to the United Kingdom in 2012. In 2013 Stuart graduated from the University of Cambridge with a Master of Advanced Study in Mathematics. He speaks Japanese at an intermediate level and maintains lessons to improve his ability.
