30 colleagues recognised in the 2026 rankings for the WTR1000
29 January 2026
The WTR rankings remain one of the ‘go-to guides’ for information on trademark experts and expertise. Research takes months, with the results acknowledging the most prominent practitioners and firms in global trademark practice. Feedback includes interviews or surveys conducted among clients and peers, global recognition and presence, the quality of the work delivered and a firm’s market presence and achievements. Ranking decisions are made based on those who have made significant impact on the trademark profession, on clients and on peers.
The latest rankings for 2026 have recently been announced, and with 30 Zacco colleagues recognised again following an extensive research process, multiple recommendations and great feedback across the board.
Individual recommendations
The WTR 1000 list recognises individuals in private practice who go above and beyond for their clients. These are attorneys who stand out as experts in their respective fields, acknowledging their stellar reputations for consistent quality in both strategy and delivery.
In Copenhagen, Denmark, those recognised in the prosecution and strategy category include Bolette Isholt Andersen, Louise Yde Frank, Henrik Jespersen, Peter Gustav Olson, Lone Prehn, Fabio Pezzolato and Knud Wallberg, with Thomas Mølsgaard recognised for his expertise in litigation and enforcement.
In Sweden, in the same category are Claes Agnvall, Marcus Eilenberg, Kristian Elftorp, Anders Feldt, Annalena Nordin and Malin Thunberg McCann (Stockholm), Johanna Forsgren Israelsson (Skellefteå), Ulrika Axelsson, Karin Bergetun, Anders Sparlund and Martin Tranälv (Gothenburg) and Hampus Adlerton and Maria Beijer (Malmö), and Peo Lundquist (Karlstad). Martin and Hampus have also been recognised in the litigation and enforcement categories, with Adam Brandt (Gothenburg) recognised for his work within IP Transactions.
In Norway, we once again see Thomas Rukin, Solvår Winnie Finnanger, Ane Strand Nilssen, Tone Tangevald-Jensen and Per Vegard Bergheim, all recognised for their expertise in trademark prosecution.
Finally, from Germany and the UK respectively, we find both Nils Köster and Iram Zaidi listed for 2026. Congratulations to all of you!
Firm rankings
Zacco has retained our Gold rankings for Prosecution and Strategy in Denmark, Sweden and Norway, alongside our EUIPO work achieving a Bronze ranking.
You can find the full write up on the WTR page here, but the WTR included some specific feedback and quotes outlining the reason for Zacco’s success:
“Combining deep legal expertise with innovative digital monitoring and advisory tools, the firm’s modern approach and robust track record make it a trusted partner for businesses navigating complex IP challenges.”
“With unwavering commitment to cultivating long-term client relationships, the outfit boasts a team of highly skilled, diligent attorneys who deliver exceptional service and strategic legal solutions.”
These awards and recognition are certainly something that everyone at Zacco has contributed to, and something that we are all proud to be a part of. It’s always a pleasure to start the year with the WTR 1000 rankings because they provide independent recognition of the importance and relevance of our work in protecting companies, brands and hard-earned reputations. They recognise the skill and expertise available amongst our Trademark and Design colleagues and provide a January boost as we head into the New Year.
Congratulations to everyone on the WTR 1000 list, well done to all of our colleagues in offices around the world and thank you, as always, to our clients and to our peers for your stellar comments and feedback.
