Cagribey joined Zacco in 2022 from a leading electrical engineering firm within the turbine industry where he was responsible for the development and implementation of control systems and converter cabinets, including technical specification, design optimisation and systems architecture.
His expertise sit primarily within electromagnetic and electro-mechanical solutions, particularly within the fields of sensor technologies, interfacing and finite element modelling. As a patent professional, he has worked alongside some of Scandinavia’s leading electrical engineering firms in the renewable energy sector, providing technical feedback, advice on inventive step and supporting colleagues in oppositions at both the Danish PTO and the EPO.
Cagribey maintains a strong interest in emerging technology within the field, applying his technical background and expertise to identifying practical solutions for clients. His curiosity in the way things work drives his approach, working to better understand what such technology is trying to achieve. This means identifying and exploring technical advancements and commercial implications with his clients, as well as anticipating how a local or international patent office might view the technology and respond.
Cagribey advises clients on patent drafting, prosecution, territory and scope, as well as conducting patent and Freedom-To-Operate searches, alongside more general IP strategy. He graduated from Aarhus University in 2016 with a BEng in Electrical Power engineering and from DTU in 2018 with a MSc in electrical engineering with a specialisation in electrical energy systems.
