Henrik Hägglöf joined Zacco in 1998 and has about 15 years of experience of intellectual property. He has M. Sc. degrees in Engineering Physics from the University of Umeå and from the J. Kepler University of Linz, Austria. He has advised client and dealt with a variety of patent prosecution matters in the fields of physics, medical technology and software development, including European oppositions and appeals, infringement and validity analysis.
In 2006 he left Zacco for becoming the Vice President of Intellectual Property at Sandvik and Managing Director of Sandvik Intellectual Property, where he stayed until 2011. Sandvik is a global engineering group in the areas of tooling, materials technology, mining and construction, with a business model for which an active IP management is instrumental.
Henrik has a strong interest in active and commercially-oriented IP management, and has gained extensive experience in handling and resolving all kinds of IP-related conflicts globally, using most means available, including negotiations, mediation, arbitration, licensing and litigation.
Henrik is member of the Institute of Professional Representatives before the European Patent Office (EPI) and is Swedish Authorized Patent Attorney. He is ranked as an IP Star by Managing IP.
