Pia Norman

Pia joined Zacco in 2008. She works as a European Patent Attorney with more than 20 years experience in patent-related issues. Today she works with patent drafting and prosecution, searches and patentability assessments, infringement analysis, freedom to operate investigations, oppositions and counselling.

From 1998 to 2008, Pia was employed as a patent examiner at the European Patent Office, EPO, and 1994-1998 as patent examiner at the Swedish Patent Office, PRV. She graduated from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) and holds a Master of Science in Mechanical engineering with a specialty in papermaking technology and energy processes and systems.

Pia has a broad experience from a variety of mechanical fields through her previous work as patent examiner, but she also works within several related fields of technology including energy systems, oil and gas industry, construction and building materials, tools and mechanics.

IAM recognises her as a recommended individual on their IAM Patent 1000 list.
